Technical Trainee (TV Studios & Outdoor Broadcast Support)

<strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Purpose:<br><br></strong>The Engineer shall be rotated to provide technical support and work in the 2 units in Production Support:<br><br>i. TV Studios Support<br><br>ii. Outdoor Broadcast Support<br><br><strong>The Scope<br><br></strong>The Engineer is expected:<br><br>i. TV Studios Support<br><br><ul><li> Support the design, installation, and maintenance of broadcast enterprise systems for studio production and the Parliament House broadcast system.</li><li> Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of broadcast-related equipment and infrastructure, following technical instructions and standard procedures, while learning on the job to maintain reliable operations for live broadcasts and productions in TV Studios and Parliament House.</li><li>Assist in the setup and provision of technical support for production facilities during major event coverage and live broadcast operations.</li><li>Support the management and enforcement of cybersecurity measures across broadcast systems to ensure secure and resilient operations.<br><br></li></ul>ii. Outdoor Broadcast Support<br><br><ul><li>Support the design, installation, and maintenance of broadcast enterprise systems for Location Units and Outdoor Broadcast (OB) Systems, including OB Vans.</li><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of broadcast-related equipment and infrastructure, adhering to technical instructions and standard operating procedures, while developing technical expertise through on-the-job learning in maintaining Location Units and OB systems for live broadcasts and productions.</li><li>Assist in the setup and technical support of production facilities for major event coverage and remote broadcast operations.</li><li>Support the implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity measures to safeguard broadcast systems and ensure secure, resilient field operations.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Requirements:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Diploma/Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Information Engineering & Media or Computer Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.</li><li> Hands-on Engineer with interest in broadcast engineering</li><li> Knowledge in IT and computer network</li><li> Proficient in written and communication skills</li><li> A team player who is able to work independently and is prepared to perform shift duties</li></ul>
