Retail Grocery Assistant (Sri Lankan & Indian Grocery Store)

Location: Little India, Singapore
Working Hours:

• Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Slightly extended till 9:00 PM

We are a well-established Sri Lankan and Indian grocery store located in the heart of Little India, Singapore. We specialize in fresh fruits, vegetables, and authentic grocery items imported directly from Sri Lanka, serving a vibrant Sri Lankan, Tamilian, and Indian community.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their grocery shopping and provide excellent service.
• Handle cashier duties, restocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Manage fresh produce and ensure high-quality presentation.
• Communicate effectively in Sinhala, Tamil, and English to serve our diverse customer base.
• Support store operations, including unloading deliveries and organizing stock.
• Ensure the store is welcoming and organized for all customers.

Requirements

• Friendly and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to communicate in Sinhala, Tamil, and English is highly preferred.
• Responsible, hardworking, and punctual.
• Willing to work extended hours on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday till 9:00 PM).
• Prior experience in retail, grocery, or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
