Product Manager (Layer 1 Connectivity)
<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>You are the SME Product Manager for Layer 1 connectivity solutions for optical transmission, wavelength services, dark fiber, submarine cable capacity and data-center interconnect. You own the end-to-end product management cycle, work with Service Line Head to define strategy and roadmap to executing go-to-market plans and managing overall connectivity product portfolio profitability. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, business acumen, and proven experience in P&L analysis and GTM execution.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Define and own the Layer 1 product portfolio strategy, including roadmap, feature development, and lifecycle management.</li><li>Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and guide product positioning.</li><li>Develop go-to-market strategies: pricing, packaging, sales enablement, channel strategy, and launch execution for layer 1 and new services </li><li>Manage end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch, enhancement, and sunsetting.</li><li>Drive and monitor service line P&L management for all including revenue forecasting, cost modelling, pricing analysis, and margin optimization to ensure we grow revenue YoY.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, network planning, operations, and finance to ensure successful delivery and scalability of services.</li><li>Partner with sales teams to engage and support customer engagements, RFP responses, and deal structuring.</li><li>Monitor product performance, KPIs, and profitability to continuously improve portfolio competitiveness.</li><li>Subject matter expert (SME) for Layer 1 services, representing the product internally and externally.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Degree in Business, Engineering, IT or related field with at least 5 years’ experience in product management within telecom or connectivity industry, with specific exposure to Layer 1 technologies.</li><li>Strong knowledge of optical transmission, wavelength services, dark fiber, and related infrastructure.</li><li>Proven track record in go-to-market execution, product launches, and sales enablement.</li><li>Experience with product financials and P&L ownership (pricing, costing, margin optimization).</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial teams.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value.</li></ul>
