Hotel Kitchen Commis (Part Time $15 per hour)
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Part-Time Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and fast-paced hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the hotel’s standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all food preparation areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Follow recipes and instructions as directed by the senior chefs.
- Handle mise en place, including cutting, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Monitor and report stock levels and assist in stock rotation.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
