Community Social Worker

Job Role:

A community social worker will be responsible for developing intervention plans, providing counseling and support to address clients' needs, and advocating for their rights and access to essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with stakeholders and community partners to promote outreach efforts and publicize Division programs.
  • Manage referrals, engage referral agencies/persons, and document case-related records.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of cases, collaborate with clients to develop intervention plans, and provide counseling and support.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and participate in research projects.
  • Develop new initiatives aligned with the Division's objectives and supervise interns/students on placement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent with 2 years of experience in the social service sector or a similar setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with social work interventions, with interest in growing clinical skills.
